How large are your groups?
We limit the group size to enhance the quality of our programs and to ensure better personalized service. The average group size on all of our trips is 1 to 20.
What about trip extension?
To make it very economical it is possible to link two or more of our trips since you will save a substantial amount on airfare. There are lots of opportunities to extend your trip by combining one of our cultural tours with a short trek.
What are standard accommodations on your trips?
Your Bhutanese Home on our trips will be the best available government approved hotels and guesthouses in all places we visit, on a twin sharing basis with private bath. Western Bhutan has better hotels while in Central and Eastern parts of the country, accommodation are simple and offer minimum facilities.
On trek we use high quality 3-men expedition tents, spacious dining tents, imported toilet tents with comfortable seats and hot shower system.
Who are your guides?
Guides are the most important in the success of every Sorwa Bhutan Travel’s trip. All our trips are escorted by highly experienced Bhutanese guides, who have wide knowledge of our history, culture, religion and all the trekking routes as well an irrepressible enthusiasm for sharing it with others. All of them speak fluent English and often speaks local dialects of the places that you will visit.
What kind of transportation do you use?
Most comfortable Toyota coaster buses, Hiace buses and luxury SUVs.
What are the meals like?
Our selected hotels or restaurants offer tasty Chinese, Indian, Continental and Bhutanese cuisine providing superb meals even in the most remote areas of Bhutan.
On trek, well trained cooks prepare dishes suitable to western tastes.
If someone is traveling alone, can he/she have a private room?
At the time of reservation, requests for single rooms are confirmed. On some trips single rooms are limited; therefore we suggest that you register for your trip as early as possible to ensure availability. There will be a single supplement charge of US$ 30 per night. If you are traveling alone and wish to share accommodations, we will try to match you with another trip member.
Who carries the luggage or gear?
On cultural tours, all luggages are transported in our coaster buses and vans between different places.
On treks, pack animals carry everything. The participants will need to carry a light daypack containing the personal items desired for that day’s activity.
